Music Therapy as a Profession

This week we celebrate Gary Varvel, from Indiana, who wrote this apology to the music therapy profession in his paper after writing about music therapy in an unflattering light earlier. We also celebrate the many Indiana (and other) MT-BCs who contacted Mr. Varvel with information about the field of music therapy.

Part of the mission of MBMT, LLC, has always been to advocate and education about our profession here in Vermont. There sure are some misconceptions out there and we are always trying to inform others about what we do.

It takes courage to admit when you are wrong. We appreciate that Mr. Varvel took the time to, not only apologize, he also took time to write about what he learned about our evidence based, allied healthcare, profession.
