Music Therapy & Autism

This week we are sharing a very encouraging research article published in PubMed Central, an online archive of medical literature.

The article describes a study which provides “the first evidence that 8–12 weeks of individual music intervention can indeed improve social communication and functional brain connectivity…in autism.”

MBMT staff serve many children and adults with autism, using evidence-based music therapy interventions. We are so pleased to see more and more research supporting the neurologic benefits of the work we do!
