Bloom where you are planted
Jen here in the office early prepping for a day of meetings and clinical work.
First up, I’m printing a research article to go into an informational packet for a possible funding source and then I’m practicing my ukulele to sing Hawaiian songs with a pediatric palliative kiddo who requested them for our session this afternoon. What a great job I have!!
I am finding myself reflecting that next month I celebrate 18 years in Vermont working to help make music therapy bloom here in the Green Mountain state! Blooming messages are all around our office (even a new picture I just bought and have to find a place for). I think of our practice as a garden we tend and care for day to day.
My mom gave me two signs you see in one picture- “Bloom Where You’re Planted” and “She Believed She Could and So She Did” … both I see from my desk and both guide me daily.
I am so passionate about the profession of music therapy, so grateful for all the amazing connections it has brought me and so proud & humbled by the incredible MT-BCs that are -& have been in the past- on staff at Music Blooms MT, LLC! It has been an honor to work as a board certified music therapist here in Vermont! Lots more blooming to do! BACK TO WORK.
